The Hope for Haiti blog tells my story in relation to the people of Haiti and the work of International Christian Development Missions in educating, equipping, and empowering people to transform their communities.
Dr. Jesse McLain has been a pastor, college professor, marine engineer, cabinet-maker, husband, and father. After 37 years of professional ministry, he has changed the focus of his work to developing his home church (newjourneyjax.com) and his mission endeavors in Haiti (www.icdm.us). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry, a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry with foci in Evangelism, Christian Leadership and Christian Ethics, and a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Instructional Design for Online Learning. He lives in Jacksonville, FL with his wife of almost 38 years, Joi, and his younger son, Dylan. Joi teaches music at John Stockton Elementary and Dylan is a student at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where he studies music. Jesse and Joi also have an older son, Hunter, who lives in Jacksonville and drives for Staples Office Supply.
